#CSW17 Energizes Enrollment

February 6, 2017

Healey partner schools celebrated all that Catholic education offers during Catholic Schools Week 2017. Through carefully planned activities, they connected with current and prospective families and took advantage of recruitment and retention opportunities.

A few examples of creativity in action:

Mother of Providence Regional Catholic School capitalized on the Living Museum and Cavalcade of Countries during Catholic Schools Week. They invited their “hot” admissions prospects, lead annual fund donors and newly registered students and families for the upcoming 2017-18 school year in addition to current students and families. The event showcased the talents of 4th, 5th and 6th grade students along with their beautiful school and challenging academic environment.

“I didn’t think I’d be registering today, but here we are. We want in.”

Our Lady of Mercy offered a special discount on the re-registration fee for Catholic Schools Week (and retroactively applied the discount to any families that had paid more). The result: 88% of their families are now re-enrolled for next year. As they enjoyed the activities planned throughout the week, families didn’t want to miss the opportunity to hold their seats at this exceptional school.

St. Anne School kicked off Catholic Schools Week with an open house that welcomed visitors to vote in their superhero classroom door contest. Faculty, student ambassadors, staff and volunteers generated excitement throughout the school around re-registration. By the close of the week, 85% of current families had registered for next year.

St. Katharine Drexel Catholic School also hosted a superhero-themed open house. They marketed the successful event through innovative, personalized invitations to prospective families and parishioners, colorful bulletin inserts, Facebook ads and posts and notes home to current families. One visiting father said, “I didn’t think I’d be registering today, but here we are. We want in.”
